FNTN Creative Caricatures
Fntn Creative, based in Kansas City, is dedicated to producing live caricatures with a fresh, optimistic perspective, heavily influenced by animation and skateboarding. The goal is to share the gift of art within the skateboard community as a way to give back and show appreciation for the culture. Each caricature created by Fntn Creative is a tribute to the individual’s personality, characterized by strong linework, dynamic compositions, and a sense of movement that captures the spirit of skaters and spectators alike.
Looking forward, Fntn Creative plans to explore animation, bringing caricatures to life through short films. The ambition is to become known as the go-to caricature artist within the skateboard industry, with features in skateboarding magazines, online platforms, and various media outlets. The vision includes traveling globally to skateboard events, tournaments, conventions, and demos. Additionally, Fntn Creative aims to expand its presence in both live caricature events and digital spaces, continuously innovating and inspiring.
Fntn Creative’s journey began decades ago, sparked by a caricature drawn during a vacation in Denver, CO. This experience ignited a passion for art, transforming simple doodles into the highlights of proms and events around Creston, IA. Fntn Creative’s approach to caricatures is deeply rooted in visual storytelling, with a distinctive voice that captures likenesses with exaggerated features and a skater’s twist. Influences include skateboard artists like Jim Phillips and Don Pendleton, as well as Tom Richmond’s "The Mad Art of Caricature!" which shaped the artist's unique style.
